What I'm Fighting For

Five commitments to District 147

Expand Rural Transit Access

Veterans and underserved residents in this district are missing medical appointments and losing jobs because reliable transportation does not exist in their communities.

I will advocate for practical, locally designed solutions including shuttle routes and ride-share partnerships that connect rural residents to healthcare, employment, and essential services.

Fight for a Living Wage

For over thirty years, Georgia's wage standard has not moved while the cost of living has.

A $7.25 federal minimum wage does not cover rent, groceries, or gas in this district, and working families are paying the price.

Raising the minimum wage is one of our most urgent legislative priorities.

I will advocate for minimum wage legislation tied to local cost-of-living metrics so that every worker in Georgia earns enough to keep a roof over their family's head.

Protect Affordable Healthcare

Affordable healthcare is a human right.

No household should have to choose between medication and a meal, between a doctor's visit and keeping the lights on.

Too many residents in this rural district face high premiums, limited local providers, and shrinking access to the care they need.

I will advocate for expanded community health resources, reduced out-of-pocket costs, and full protection of every patient's right to make their own medical decisions without government interference.

Defend Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

When equal opportunity protections are dismantled, working people lose ground and communities lose the talent and trust that drive growth.

Women, and specifically women of color, have been disproportionately harmed by recent federal mandates targeting DEI programs.

I will advocate for legislation that preserves DEI in the workforce, defends against discrimination, and ensures every resident of this district has a fair and equal shot.

Protect Women's Rights

Women's rights are in critical jeopardy, and that danger grows daily through executive orders and lawsuits challenging our 14th and 19th Amendment protections.

I directly oppose the SAVE Act and stand firmly for every woman's right to her own reproductive choices.

Physicians must be free to provide those services without government reprisal.

I will fight to remove obstacles to free and fair elections, protect reproductive rights without compromise, and strengthen support systems for survivors so that no woman in this district stands alone.
